Party time! – Skincare in your 20ies

Updated: Jul 2, 2023

Congratulations! You have survived your teenage years, the pimple and inflammation stage is generally over and now it’s peak collagen level time. To maintain skin firmness and that youthful glow it is important to start a good skin care regime early. Start with a toner and make the use of Vitamin A (prevention of fine lines), B (repairing skin barrier and helping to prevent break outs) and Vitamin C (antioxidant, brightening quality, skin repair) as much a routine as introducing ceramides (the skin moisturising hero). In case you are still experiencing some bouts of break out the use of AHAs ( glycolic and lactic acid) and BHAs (like salicylic acid) can bring great results.

The most important thing to introduce to your daily skin care regime by now is: sunscreen! Start now and make is a habit for the rest of your life.

You can invest in all the products you like, sun exposure remains the leading cause for visible skin ageing, pigmentation and skin cancer risk. Golden rule: start early and reap life long benefits! Use whatever product you like but make sure it is at least SPF 30+. There are some wonderfully light-wearing products available that will allow your makeup to stay on, so there is no excuse for not wearing it!

Hope you feel good in your skin!
